Internship – Social Media Trainee / Personal Assistant

Job Description:

BuzzShift, a Digital Strategy Firm, is currently seeking a college student to shadow and be trained by our co-founders. It’s a startup, so we all wear multiple hats in the organization. The hats of this individual? Part assistant to the founders, part social media trainee.

Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities are a 50/50 split between assisting the CEO and CSO, and learning the skill sets for a career in the digital space. As the liaison to the co-founders for all professional and personal matters, you must be solution oriented and adaptable to change. The primary responsibilities of this position will include organizing complex business calendars and personal schedules, coordinating travel arrangements and special events, management of invoices, handling communication in and out of the office, and other related duties as needed. From a social media standpoint, the individual must be already be active on various platforms, and have an open, inquisitive mind towards managing and participating in new platforms and channels.

Applicants must have excellent organization and communication skills and be able to handle multiple tasks. A communications or journalism degree is preferred, as writing and content creation are key to this position. We are looking for a task-oriented individual willing to learn from a growing startup and to wear multiple hats within the organization. He/she must be available to interview immediately and start ASAP.

Project Manager (contract)

Job Description:

In this role, you will lead diverse and dynamic teams, in the successful delivery and execution of an E-Commerce platform and other technical projects. This role requires deep understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This highly visible role will require a motivated and dedicated leader with excellent team and project management skills as well as exceptional relationship building skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the successful implementation of an eCommerce solution, and other technical projects.
• Establish and maintain process to manage the scope/budget throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Collaborate with eCommerce Strategy team/IT leadership and execute on the priorities.
• Drive the discovery, requirements, development, testing and implementation phases of the project.
• Set project quality and performance standards. Assess and manage risk over the project lifecycle.
• Work with cross functional team/vendor to explore solutions or facilitate discussion in enabling technical solutions for eCommerce related business
problems.
• Drive eCommerce discussion and engagements in the areas of Merchandising, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and C-suite reporting.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years IT experience required with a minimum of 5-8 years project management with focused experience in eCommerce implementations.
• Demonstrated experience of project managing eCommerce rollout a big plus.
• Must have experience in all phases of the eCommerce project lifecycle and ability to manage web projects from discovery to post implementation (including creative design).
• Proven experience leading small projects and/or supporting business teams independently. Ability to lead diverse teams of 5 or more people in a fast paced environment
• Must have excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
• Work experience with online retailers in eCommerce marketing, merchandising, and/or operations desired
