Senior Account Executive

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who can think like a movie producer. Let others be the stars of the show, building the environment for our creatives and content producers to shine, and then making sure it gets communicated in the best possible light to the client

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be focused on client business success. While the Project Mnager is biased towards deliverables, the AE needs to be focused on the best interests of clients, strategic in nature and not blinded by short term deadlines. The ideal SAE needs to be skilled at client diagnosis, and collaborative in the nature of those solutions.
  • Be able to cultivate executive-level relationships and integrate into a client’s org structure and decision-making. Must be empathetic and diplomatic, with a high emotional IQ, but still focused on business objectives. The ideal SAE becomes the go-to for executives for strategic advice, troubleshooting, and opportunities for growth.
  • Be adept at business development, developing increasing income from existing clients without being overly sales-y. Buzzshift creates new business opportunities by delivering excellent work, keeping our eyes open for ways to deliver where others can’t or won’t, and then capitalizing on those opportunities.
  • Have a firm command of communication skills, especially with Project Managers and the Creative Director, to ensure deliverables have a high degree of quality and profitability. Inversely, the project manager ensures that the deliverables are done on time and to client specifications.

What we are looking for:

  • At least five years full-time work experience in marketing, digital media or related field
  • At least two years of agency account management experience, plus valid references
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Relevant experience in digital media, strategy, agency or client-side account management
  • Ability to strategize on and cultivate multiple client relationships at once, working with all departments (creative, web, media, strategy, analysts, and contractors)
